i still get some smoking from my exhaust (white smoke) , turbo is brand new , i dont think there is anything wrong with the engine , i did however put a wee bit too much two stroke oil in my gas though , how long does it take for that stuff to "flush " out , .....anybody any thoughts???......

Hey Felix, I was reading through your thread and I'm guessing from your most recent post that you never figured out how to run the OMP? Just wondering if you're still trying to figure that out or you moved on and decided to stick with 2-stroke?

G-luck on your project. Hopefully, everything works out smoothly for you from now on.

Try venting the oil pan better.
Larger lines and/or more of them.

Often times smoke from the turbo is caused from blowby pressurizing the oil pan area which in turn prevents the turbo oil return line from draing properly.

Thanks guys , Dave i will try it and see if it helps , i havent ran the car a lot because of the crappy weather here these days , but it seems like things are going to get better though , its really , increadibly hard to drive this thing with only 2~5 psi of boost and only up to 4000RPM (breaking in ) you really want to mash the throttle and let it do its thing but i am keeping strickt control on my right foot ...for now
Str8rdr yes i am still with the pre mix , 20b 3rd gen from the bit i ran the car there seems to be some slight steering issue but i am shure it can be fixed with allignment , (i took my subframe off to fix my oil leak )so i think the car got a bit out of allignment as soon as my shop opens again i will throw it on the allignment machine and check it
This vid was just a test , i will make a longer better one , prolly tomorow
I will keep you guys posted

well i havent used hinson`s frame so i wouldn`t know much about it , the car does feel good with the turbo , i doon`t feel much of lag , but i am still driving her "easy" , i do however have a problem with a coolant seal though , but i am looking to fix that in the coming weekend ,

if the whole kit (hinson`s) costs 1600 with all included , doesnt seem like such a bad deal to me , be warned though a project like this takes a **** load of patience , a lot of little "things" are known to pop-up unexpected....wich is always anoying

i also bought the 46mm tial wastegate. its a nice piece but the sealing and exit flanges are way smaller than 46 mm. Would this be a problem.? anyone with a gt42r and 3 rotor please chime in. I plan to run 13 psi and up as it is going in a racecar.

youre manifold design also plays a role in some of the boost creep issues

ok trying to ressurect my old thread here , as you all know i had some issues with my car lately , and now that all that stuff is cleared i am ready to move to the other problems
i will report everything i find in this thread as i go along , maybe it will help some other guys

anyways car ran great with the new plugs , i tried upping the boost a bit , no breakups whatsoever , but i noticed i got a bit lean , so i backed up and lowered the boost
i do have enough fuel i suppose
fuel setup is as follows

bigger lines
1000cc primaries
1600cc secondaries
bigger rails
aeromotive fuel press regulator
aeromotive fuel filter
2 walbro intank pumps

the leaning i believe is just a question of adding more fuel on the map so that is no problem

problem is right now , and i know i am going to get beat up for this , my exhaust is only 3" , which is not enough
if anyone ever wanted to know the symptoms of too restrictive exhaust , here is what happened to me

After some hard driving (and i beat the car in testing) i noticed my egt kind of stayed at around 700 (celsius) usually in coasting it cools down ,
then after a while my wideband just stopped working ( i believe its the extra heat trying to **** up my sensor
and this was funny , my brake pedal got mushy (not shure there but i know the engine bay got hot as **** )
after it cooled down some all of this went away , and everything seems fine again , but i am not going to beat the car again until i have a better exhaust
And this is the shamefull part i run a muffler shop so i have everything i need to make a bigger exhaust so its no problem

Now if anybody has any fantasies about exhaust they want me to make let me know , because i am fabbing one and any suggestions are welcome
my turbo`s outlet is 3" so i am going to have to work around that
also my muffler is also 3" i am going to have to look for something bigger
suggestions are welcome
