Oil Dipstick Tube Leak - Any Ideas?
Since the first start of this 20b, there's always been a tiny bit of oil that would weep from where the oil dipstick tube goes into/meets the Iron.
Its now become progressively worse to the point that oil will drip on to the iron / motor mounts and blow backwards to the spark plug wires.
It appears not to be a pressurized crank case issue as there is an oil catch can with 8an line directly into the oil filler neck.
The dipstick itself does not move. The leak is simply where the tube is pressed into the block.
Is this something that should be looked over during a basic rebuild?

I've never had a tube insert problem. If its not tappered, then you run the risk of having your dip stick slide down too far to give inaccurate oil level readings if you hit it too far. Another thing you could do is try to pull it out and use some quick steel to reseal it in place. If you dont have the upper measurment, I can go measure my old plate in my shop. The tube on the fd engine sticks out the same height as well.
