oil coolers

i'm getting ready to put my 20B in my fd and i need to upgrade my dual oil coolers. i've read up on a few different setups on here, but have yet to find any real useful results posted.

i'm looking at dual 13"x8"x2" 25-row coolers. what is everyone's opinion as to whether or not this will be adequate. i will be ducting from the CWest front bumper (see below) to these, so they will be getting some pretty good airflow.

on last thing, brand-wise, how does everyone feel about Earl's versus Mocal? pretty much equivalent, or is one really better than the other?

thanks in advance for your help.

Just started up my 20B with dual 34 row earl;s oil coolers, oil temps were between 170 and 190 during a 2hr drive.

The temps are regulated via an earl's t-stat.

I think dual 25 row coolers will be adequate, if anything mine are a little overkill.

Will post more info once I have more miles on the car.

yeah, i saw your car (beautiful job by the way) but the only thing stopping me from a setup like that is concern that i might end up damaging one of the coolers and suffering for it. the roads here in new mexico arne't the nicest by any stretch of the imagination. sometimes a 6-inch pothole or some god forsaken awful road debris might just appear.

do you have any way of knowing how much your tstat was restricting flow to the coolers? that would help give an idea as too how overkill your setup is compared to what i'm contemplating.

thanks
