You're lucky you didn't kill yoruself... That truck would have swiss cheezed you all over the road if you got sucked under the dually.

F450 = 1
FD = 0

At least you get to make a better setup at the expense of the insurance.

very sad news. this is one of my favorite FDs right now. I can tell you its definaltely totaled unless you had a stated value policy. a good insurance company like state farm WILL pay you the full value of a 20B swapped FD even if you never paid higher premiums based on the swap. the insurance company has to pay average retail value for a 60K mile fd WITH 20B and single swap within 500milke sof where your car is registered. if no similar cars are for sale in that area, then they have to expand the search area untill they find 3 examples similar to yours for sale and they pay the arerage value.

thats how its supposed to work, but i can assure you if you have geico or countrywide insurance they will try to give you $8 grand and you'll need to take them to court to get what your car is worth.

my advise, do your research, because the adjuster wont. find ads on here of 20B cars in similar condition to yours and print them with asking and final selling prices.. fax them to your claim handler AND give them to the adjuster. make sure you point out to him the non stock parts on the veh (they may be clueless and think the car came that way) you have to let them know that you know what your car is worth and that you're not going to settle for a BS offer.

lastly, EVERYTHING is negotiable with insurance companies. you can fight the offer they give you for the car if you feel they valued it too low. you can also negotiate the buy back value of the car. i'll be supprised if they ask more thank $500 for you to buy it back. it will end up costing them money to take that car from you and auction it off, they rather actually let you keep the car, they just don't want you to know it.

and yes, I am an insurance adjuster..

good luck and be thankful you are still here to build another one..

Sorry to hear that man. I was geeked when I saw the 800+whp number, it just sucks that it's wrecked. The damage doesn't look too bad tho, you should be able to fix that. It doesn't look like there is any damage to the A or B pillar.

G'luck with the insurance adjuster and let us know if you find anything that looks like it broke prior to the loss of control.

Thanks for the advice.
My insurance company (21st Century, aka AIG) will only cover $2000 in aftermarket items in my current policy. I was within a couple of weeks of getting an agreed value policy. Should have done it this past spring. Lesson learned.

It's a great thing your ok. Sorry for your loss. It sucks seeing something like this. Our cars tend to become extensions of ourselves with all the time and effort invested into them.

Tell me about it. I bought the car in 02. I have a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into the car.

My adjuster called, they wanted recipts for everything that was on the car. I was kinda shocked on how much I had into the car just in recipts. The guy who came out to evaluate the car documented and verified what was installed. When I talked to the adjuster today, she mentioned that my policy was possibly grandfathered in and did not have the $2000 aftermarket limit. I have had the same policy for 7 years without a claim.

They are going to give me a detailed breakdown and options. The estimator said there is over $8000 in damages. I am waiting to see thier offer, and buy back price. I hope to get this settled and start tearing into the car.

Also to add insult to injury I received a Carless Driving ticket in the mail today.

Suckage. A few years ago on the way to Wolf Creek to snowboard I flipped my truck. The road was empty either direction for over a mile.

Apparently:

Single vehicle accident + zero injuries + no excess speed = totaled truck + careless driving ticket.

Hopefully your insurance takes care of you and the worst is over with. Good luck man.

Shitty deal!

Make sure you buy that baby back though.

I don't see any kinks in the roof. A fresh door and fender + rear suspension will likely make that car good to go again. And obviously the repair on the quarter.

But really is not too bad.

Also, just as a back pocket weapon for you. If they're giving you crappy offers, make sure you let them know you intend to get complete indemnification for the accident. Throwing one of their own terms back at them usually shakes things up a bit Just means that you intend to be put back exactly as you were (either with a repair, or getting the finances to get you there) before the accident.

unforunately indemnification is not something you can ask for or demand, well you can ask lol,, doesnt mean they will listen or care. Its a remedy available when contracted for or depending on the relationship between the parties. And this is not one of them. Any property damage claims will be resolved by the provisions in his contract with the insurance company that he agreed to when he decided to have them insure his car. Say he totalled that F150, injured some of the passengers and himself, created 20k in damage to the guard rail and shoulder and ditch lol. If your policy was 25/50 and your damages exceed all the amounts given in your policy then your **** out of luck and obviously wouldnt be put back in the position you were in before the accident and they have no duty or right to put you there beyond what your policy says.

Just do as Speednyc says.. Adjusters are def negotiable and will try to low ball you so keep that in mind, but dont be unreasonable they know what the policy limits are just make sure you do too.

Tore apart the rear suspention today.
I think I found out why the back end kicked the way it did..
The CV axle shaft was snaped at the inner joint.
I'll post pics when my phone is charged up.

Damages items
CV-Axle
Upper control arm snapped
Lower control arm bent & pillow ball was pulled out and still on the trailing arm.
Toe link rod end bent
Toe link mount tore off the subframe.
ABS Sensor wire cut.

that looks 100% fixable with very little effort. fender, door, and a new rear 1/4th pannel, some of whats broken as far as suspension wise in the back, and i doubt it will be anywhere as expensive as one might think,

I'm still waiting to hear my options from the insurance company. If they give me 8k-9k to fix it I will. If they total it out I'll buy it back, I should come out better money wise this way, but will have a salvage title and still fix it.

It is Fixable, the door opens and closes with a little extra effort. There is a wrinkle in the jam but a new quarter panel will take car of it. I already located the quarter and rocker panels, a door and fender. I have been lookign at the Burnout body kit, but i do love the car in sleeper trim.

As for the rear end. I found 2 places that had the subframe and arms. I just need to get a new rod end for the toe link. I'll do my 8.8 swap too.
I already have a cobra diff and axles; just need the mount kit, hybrid Axles, 4.10 or 3.90 gears, and a new drive shaft.

If there is enough left I will replace the turbo with a GT4718.

First i want to say I'm sorry for the crash...

But this car should be possible to get back on the road again..
The rear suspension is just to get a rear end of some other FD and put over to your car. Change the 1/4 panel and the door and you have your car back on the road..

Out of the pictures you posted, it looks like there isn't any dents on your roof, and the door opening looks good, so I dont think the chassis it self has got any damage.

Go for it, do the work with this car instead of starting on a new one..

Anyway, good luck with the innsurance deals and lets hope you get the cars actual value back from you insurance company..
