hah hah, cant believe I never posted in this thread, maybe I shy'd away when Nihilthic went bezerk. I'm one of those V8rx7 dudes... but I'm the kind who likes a modest power level to keep it a reliable daily driver, your project is right up my alley and one I looked into before but it is quite costly for the end result, glad you love it though, thats all that counts. I think I gave you priase on torquecentral, I need to give you some here too! I really can appreciate any well built n/a motor especiallly with itb's, its always been a love of mine.
your work on the setup is impressive! no wonder youre now working at mazsport!!!! congrats!
the header looks wonderful, the airbox and itb's are just delicious. looks like you built a stout 20B and I like that you 'fessed up about an overheating from the pinhole, **** like that happens to almost everyone involved in such a huge project. that so cool you were able to figure it out before it was catastrophic and boy oh boy I like how you have the 20B on the stock subframe, thats a wise choice. I dont care for the green cage (nice cage but leave it black) but I think its damn cool you were able to keep a nice weight distribution and the total weight is nice and low. I hope to see more pics! pics of the car, pics of the interior, etc, its a wicked machine and glad you are happy with it and proud of it. I have machined parts for my FC and friends too, and there is a great sense of pride in seeing the parts in action, isnt there?! nice work man, cant wait to see it all new and improved.
have fun at drift events and I hope you can hit a roadcourse grip event too!

Thanks for all the compliments Owen! The car is getting close to being on the road again, I had to re-do the interior, cage, engine bay, and of course make the Ver. 2 engine. But maybe this time I can look at it without picking out everything I messed up on last year, haha. Road course is very fun, I went to Mid-ohio last year, and will be doing more of that this year as well. But I'll have to wait for now....

Get a v8. I built an identical car, it lasts 3 times as long (3 race weekends before a new engine), and has waaaaay more power for a small sacrifice in weight. Nice fab skills, dinglenut

A noob who have just braved 32 pages in the last 2 hours or so.
Great setup on a great car ^^ I'm hoping to do one that is similar to yours when I have an FD one day. Working in the pits with 2 NA 20b's next to me and being 10-15 paces away from REAmemiya's GT machine blasting out of pits back home in Sepang this year pretty much made me think rotors are pretty ^^
You're an inspiration hahaha...
Cheers and good luck on whatever plans that are scheduled for the car.
Cheers

wow, i havent been to this site in like 2 years! i googled 20B, and this thread came up first! and i have read the whole thing(i think i'm blind now) and i have been wanting to do this also, but just didnt get excited enough about it i guess. well, you have made me excited and now i am going to have to attempt the same thing. i'm thinking about maybe putting carbs on it though, not sure yet! but great ****** car man, and great build!!! sooooo, when are those p- ports giong to open up? cant wait and see how it works! i actually think that having the side and p-ports open at the same time will work pretty good at low end. will be interesting to see! oh yeah, i cant remember i think someone asked this but are you using s5 side housings or turbo side housings?
take care!

I love all RX7s, but I have to say, N/A > Turbo. I just love thread where I don't get flamed for saying that. I would take a 250 RWHP N/A car over a 250 RWHP turbo car any day.
