This one took some time and thought. But now the radiator is quick release and uses two latches to hold it in place!

good god, Logan! where have i been?

i had no idea that you were in an accident, much less you got hurt and lost the FD. sorry to hear about it. having been through a pretty horrific crash myself 4 years ago, i can imagine the thoughts you must have had, but i'm glad to see you're building another FD.

i love the new ideas and the progress you've made thus far. i can't wait to see the end product - especially your intake and exhaust systems.

EDIT:
dude, what's with the "New Member" status and 11 posts?

Logan,

Great to see your re-building what was lost, the work I've seen so far in this thread is top notch as to be expected, I love the quick release rad!, I need something like that for the 240 lol. I see this was last updated like 2 months ago, hopefully shes on the road and screaming now! Keep it safe!

This will be an AWESOME when its complete. Nice to know that you are able to get back on the horse when it almost kills you.

What company are you with, I will need to get some items from you when I find my RX7 project car, do you do FC3S stuff?

Nice work as usual. I hadn't seen the updates you made this year yet. Love that new shock tower bar.

May i ask about what sump your using on that. You see today i realised that my engine sits 3/4 inch higher than the stock 13b in the FD engine bay. Quite alot really. Anyway i'm going to shift the engine back in that bay and drop the block down to where it should be but then i can't use the factory sump on the 20B.

Thanks Our shop is Defined Autoworks. Yes we do 20b mounts for the FC, aluminum oil pans for 20b/fc, and a few other things too. Give us a call if you need anything.

This is the mazda comp drysump front cover. Its a TON of work to push the engine back as far as I did. Roughly 13inches. Honestly the 3/4" higher is not a big deal at all. So unless you love to fabricate a whole bunch, its going to be a headache. lol

I had a play with how far the the stock tunnel 20B inlet will let me go back, about 3.5" but then the stock trans becomes the issue so abit of working out to do on my part.

Well if you fabricate for a living, then it will be a fun time consuming project I will have more detailed pics coming soon of how I mounted the engine in the next couple weeks. Once I get some time cleared up, this should be coming together finally!
