The thing about the ceramics is that they don't seal nearly as well at the lower revs as the 2mm do. Nothing beats the 2mm stock seals for their sealing power... Plus, ceramics are typically used in high revving NA motors... not boosted "low revving" motors. Do you have a solid eccentric shaft or are you using the stock one... If you have the stock eccentric shaft, can't rev it over 8500 MAX... and that's where the ceramics come into their place in this world... high revs.

I think krugan is confusing ceramics with carbon seals. Carbon seals are used in n/a applications for their superior sealing at higher rpm they are also one piece so so they seal poorly at low revs. But by 3000 they should be fine . Ceramics seal better, period. 2mm ceramics seal better than 3mm. A 3mm ceramic is the stongest seal realistically you can run. They will last longer than steel and definitely much longer than carbon under detonation. They can and will still break though if abused. They just give a little more insurence. Carbon seals cannot be used in turbo applications. They are too fragile. Most of the added benefits of thinner and multipiece sealing is for some improved low end below3000 and far better emmissions, but who really cares about those.

Digging up the dead.

Engine has been on hold for quite some time due to my vert. I originally got it just to drive around but one thing led to another.
Will be resuming it when the vert is done, which better be soon.

Engine is down and back but may move it again due to intake manifold design and ease of access/maintanence. It's real easy to do with that flat/thick sump plate.
Suspension is done.
Bodywork is done.
Needs paint.
Oil system is done.
Need turbo, intake (may go custom)/exhaust manifolds, tranny, ecu, lexan winshied and hatch cover, fiberglass doors, new cage and on and on......
