As some of you know, my motor was dropped in shipping which lead to me getting it rebuilt... something that just occured to me was that my dipstick was destroyed...

I won't be able to tell how much oil, too little or too much, is in my engine until I can get a new dipstick... unless someone knows how many quarts the engine holds and then I can mark my new generico dipstick for future reference.

 

i think it was about 6qts, but wait how this. i just pulled out my stick and it is 13 1/8" long and the full mark is 2" from the end.

I beleave it holds 5.5 quarts.

I believe that this will depend on your oil cooler, turbo, plumbing, filter, etc. I think that j9fd3s' dipstick dimensions are the way to go.
