Awesome! Be prepared to spend some quality time getting all those little rusty 10mm nuts off the exhaust heat shielding. Oh, and be careful with those 14mm crimped exhaust studs. We broke two and removed two from the engine. There are only two original studs left on my engine.

Oh yeah, the rats nest is kinda fun to deal with two. It must have taken a PhD to design all that stuff. Well, maybe. It sure is fun/rewarding to get it all off though.

What number do you have? Look on the irons if the rotor housings have been ground off.

I'm going single turbo, tec 3, ceramic seals, and a large street port. I forgot to get the number off of it today. I'm going to go back to my garage tonight, I'll try to get the number.

The number is on the rotor housing, right? If so then I have number 912.

No Jesse you have an A912 your motor is 912 of the A series motors. They were made in 1000 batches, the first batch was 000 - 999 then A000 - A999 and so on up to D or E series (I think). My motor is in the VERY FIRST 000 series

It looks like it's missing the TB snorkel and the rear turbo inlet pipe - both easily get damaged in transit.

The guy I bought it off of has the TB snorkel, but im not sure about the rear turbo inlet pipe. I'm putting a big single turbo on anyways, so i dont need any of the stock turbo stuff. It came out of a cosmo front clip, so everything should be around somewhere.

I just checked my number. I have B082. I got the whole front clip. We had it running in the driveway. It sounds great!!! The A/C even works still. No smoke or any funny sounds. Seems like a great motor...

It looks like you live in a dungeon or some sort of medieval torture chamber.

Wish I had a 20B. . .wish I had an RX-7 for that matter. . .

lol, the bay of the garage where my car is does look pretty dungeonish. Two of my friends and I rent the garage out, and they had their cars in before I could get mine in, so I got the weird dungeon bay. Here is a pic of it from the outside during the flood that bought me the 20b. You can see how my bay (far right) is the only weird one, haha..

Good luck with the project!
Any thing i might be able to help you with, just let me know. I'll keep in touch.

Nice turbo choice by the way! You will be making lots of power with the setup you are working on.

My garage got nailed! We got about 3.5 - 4 feet of water!!! It stopped just below the top of my work bench with the 20b on it! If you look at the pic above, the water was up to the handle on my garage door.

I'll might give you a call tomorrow if I can get my 240sx put back together. I had to pull the sr20det apart, because the guy I bought the car off of snapped 5 out of 8 of the exhaust manifold bolts into the head! I didn't even have the car for 4 days and had to pull the head off! Good thing the sr20 is a pretty easy engine to work with!

Damn. I hope you don't pay too much to rent out a drainage ditch/garage.

Yea, the rent is really good. Our landlord is building us a new garage on top of the hill sometime soon. It isn't really a drainage ditch, just a bad year for rain here.
