found my motor

ok, i finally heard back from the guy a town over who had a 20b for sale. the guy and his buddies build sand cars, and rotaries are motor's of choice in those things.
i got a pic of the number, but its really blurry for some reason, so i'm not posting it. the number on the motor is A950. it has less than 30k miles and looks to be in decent shape. take a look at the pics and let me know if there is anything i am missing. i haven't paid for it yet, i wanted to make sure it looked good to more trained eyes than mine. full long-block form, counterweight attatched still.
so here's the pics:

so what you're saying is that i need to open it up and make sure the internals are ok? i'm going to do a compression check before i give him the money, that should tell me the condition inside right?
i appreciate the help guys.
how much compression should i see if it was just hand cranked? the guy said it was around 70 doing it like that, and said he thought it'd probably be around 100 with a starter cranking it. does this sound right? i'm not sure what compression tester he uses either.
anything else i might want to watch for, please let me know. once again, thanks!!

Stick a bellhousing on it and a starter then you can check compression better.

Like was said previously the motor looks a little too clean. Except for the oil pan, it looks like theres a little oil they missed there.
