fd3s omp on a 20b

I wonder if it works???

I want to use the omp from the fd cause I have the fd front cover so i thought maybe it will be good to use the fd omp??

Does it flow the required oil that the engine need???

And it only has 2 outputs...

If I connect the out put together will it work?

Or do I have to drill a new hole and then make a new line all the way from the pump?

anyone that done this before??? did not find info when i searched

I dont know about compatibility with the OMP but is there a particular reason that you dont want to switch to premix?

When mazda built the engine, they put a omp there right!

then why should we not use it? just cause the engine oil aint burnin good?
then try to built some kind of extra can with real 2 stroke oil and let the omp use that oil ( you can buy an adapter or drill a hole to the omp an connect it to the can)
And you can still use the syn-blend oil in your engine...but shooting 2-stroke oil on the apex seals..

And what happends to the gasoline octane if you put to much oil in it???

I think that if the fd omp could flow the right capacities that is needed then i will go for it, other wise i will try to premix but using castor oil, less smog.

Are you premixing? Is your engine doing high hp numbers?

Many people says premix is good other says premix is ****!

And I can´t decide anymore...but One thing is cleare..I will use the fd front cover just for the hall sensors locations!

Nice to see you again. I was wondering the same thing. You would have to at the very least drill an additional hole and channel into the pump case. The pump operates by a tube and piston rotating against a cam that causes the telescopic movement that in turn pushes oil out of the pump. I am not sure if the 2 and 3 rotor pumps have the same cam profile.

Re. the Hal sensor location, someone recently showed me a very very clean 60-2 install on a 20b front cover that might make you change your mind. Shoot me a PM with your email address (again) if you want pictures.

how about an s5 omp?

it has 4 outputs. i'm sure you cna just block one. the thing i'd be concerned with is the flow rate and all that. you should definately do some homework on it.

I agree with Guitarjunkie, the S5 OMP would be a good choice, and block one line off. This is basically what the 20B one is.

I'm gonna use my mechanical S4 OMP and S4 front cover for mine. If it doesn't work oh well! That's what premix is for.
