so say i have a set of fd irons laying around could i use those and get the 80mm one or just buy a core 20b and tear down and rebuild with fresh parts ? i coulda sworn somewere in this thread someone said somthing about someone making an E-shaft in two different configurations for either a 50mm plate (assuming u just use another center fd plate or somthing) or an 80mm plate between #2 and #3 housings. so maybe either i missread that. or they were incorrect as well who knows. i just like to constantly gather information about things as i see them cause either it will help me now or help me 2 years from now with a project either way ill use the info

There's a company from New Zealand I believe that sell's the e-shaft for the "short" configuration 3 rotor you are referring to. The thing you are overlooking about this setup is that you then have to go PP because the skinny plate does not have the proper side ports in it. There's an FD thats camo painted running this "short" 3 rotor PP N/A IIRC. The name of the FD that comes to mind is "Fursty"

sounds easyer to buy a full set of 20b irons, use fd housings for better flow, and then get someone to source a balanced eshaft rotors and counterweight, and then ud have a pretty solid shortblock were if modded proberly to handle some rpms should be a great start for a solid motor

I know this is from the previous page, but anyone else notice that these shaft's have the rotors phased diffrently? The right one (MPS?) has the front rotor 180 from the left one?

I'm getting ready to order one I am still tossing between The Xtreme and Jeff Bruce's eshafts.
Are there any major differences? Right now with current exchange rates the Jeff Bruce's is almost 1/2 the price of the extreme/guru's shaft. I can't justify the additional cost for the MPS setup even though I would love to have one.
Please chime in.
