Ok, I'll admit it

This is more impressive than my wooden steering wheel.

Any ideas on what the cost and output would be on a 20b non-turbo? Seems like it would be simpler, and fairly powerful as well...the ultimate n/a upgrade...

thats what i was thinking. doing a 20b up with 3 carbs... that would be pretty sweet. and i think it would be alot cheaper then getting all the turbo and intercooler stuff..

That's so beautiful I think I could cry...one of these days I want to make a N/A 20B powered car for those who prefer the ultimate smooth engine (not that the turbo isn't smooth, but nothing is close the the smoothness of a N/A rotary no?).

Yeah, its been running for about a month. Slowly troubleshooting things. Had an oil leak and had to pull the motor.... not a big deal, in out and fixed in about 3 hours...

This weekend, we had some freaky ignition problems... it'll get ironed out soon.

BTW, I'm a poor college drop out Just got in the right field at the right time.

A carby 20B currently holds the all motor class with VERY low 10s

Well, when doing a lot of custom work, (getting things welded up) it all starts to add up...

And you also forgot the head light kiit..

Yeah, and don't forget:
-injectors
-tires and rims that are big enough
-tons of little things from autozone
-exhaust parts from summit
-IC pipes from summit
-silicone hoses and IC pipe connecting pieces
-clamps for the IC
-custom radiator

And things I'm not counting:
-welder
-air tools
-lots of tools that I've lost and had to replace
-paint and body work
-paint gun
-paint
-lots of other junk

and I'm not done... and the custom welding of aluminum stuff is prolly over $1000 by now... and I've had to have several items fabricated, like a TB adapter ($200), hard oil return line ($150), beer ($6000), custom turbo work ($350) and a LOT of shipping charges... it adds up quickly.

Ok, Why do you need to use a haltech. Is it not possible to use a factory cosmo ecu? It just seems to me that would be the cheapest and easiest route to take. Im sure it can be done with a cosmo front clip and some wireing enjinuity

well there's the obvious reason of it's prolly hard as hell to find a cosmo ecu and wiring harness fully intact and operational. Also, with a haltech you can do all those nifty tuning things

If one were to abtain a Cosmo ECU and at least a part of the wiring harness (enough to extend the wires to their proper places), would it be possible to use the stock ignition computer and avoid a lot of hassle?
