Can you tell me how much I'd pay for an engine like yours ready to bolt in ?

Well, maybe...

However much you get a jspec engine for
+
Parts at cost from mazdacomp, using the old bearings and not having to replace any housings cost me roughly $1200. Running 2mm 3 piece stock seals
+
flywheel, clutch and pressure plate
+
labor (or free if you do it yourself)
+
secondary fuel rail and 3 1600 injectors and cleaning and flow testing of all 6 injectors, that was about $500.
+
freight.

I'm thinking that if you did the work yourself, you could do it easily for $4500-5500, depending on how crazy you go with the clutch, could be more.... Thats JUST the motor...

There is a lot more too, like the water pump. I went with a Meziere electric 55gpm remote pump... said and done, with all of the AN fittings, that thing ran about $600. You can spend 200-400 on getting the turbos modified into non-sequential, or you can DIY for a lot less, or just run them non-seq in the poor-man's mode (rerouting and venting certain vacuum hoses) You'll also need motor mounts, or a subframe... depending on what car you are putting it in... that can range from $30 if you DIY motor mounts, or up to 2k for a pre made subframe... I'm leaving quite a bit out, but you get the point.

Yeah, I'd love to do another 20B install... this time I'll know what NOT to do

Anyhow, updates... yes. Everything is mounted. Everything is made, except the exhaust. Been working on the Haltech this weekend. Just need to wire the injectors, put the UIM back on, hook up my FMIC pipes (that are already cut to fit and everything), connect the battery to the starter and fill the engine with fluids. Pretty much done.... I'll get pics when I'm through... and video.... and dyno sheets.... and timeslips

Well, Depends on how you want to go..

If you do everything right including the smaller things like breaks, it will be close to $30K probably.

If you use a used jspec and do everything cheap, probably around $10K+ since you are starting with a vert.

If you do a rebuilt engine probably around 15K+

I think j9fd3s did his for ~$6K-8K but he started with a TII..

I'm relatively close to you. Can I drop off my stock 93, make monthly payments and the pick up a 20b convert. I figure it should only take about one lifetime of payments!!
