when did the 21 psi boost come on, what rpm and how
far up in rpm's would it hold this level of boost?
did you have the sequential gates etc. removed?
thanks

hey NOW do you think the computer is cutting boost? do you have a boost controller? as far as i know the stock setup is similar to the stock FD setup...and there isnt this huge increase when you go to parallel. also why would pettit mod. the turbos if they could hit 21 psi? and why would bnr offer an upgrade? something doesnt line up... either we're missing something or i dont know what. things just dont add up. ?????? heath

i was not using a boost controller at all i had the
waste gate clamped with a vise grip so it wouldn't open at all.
it should have hit what ever the turbos max is.
I will be playing with more this weekend i hope.

ok, i just talked with someone at pettit racing. the guy was really nice! ok heres what he told me... they use the stock turbos... ceramic coated, ported (they dont change the wheels) and they smooth out some 90degree bend??? they said that one of their coustomers running 7psi was putting down 400HP, and they get 12 psi from the stock turbos run in parallel. im begining to think that its the tuning of their aftermarket ECU that is making the difference, and their cars are streetported. im not sure but im thinking that the cosmo ecu is just poorly tuned (or tuned for a luxury car not a sports car), and thats where the lack of power is coming from. heath
not to say that there is a lack of power, but compared to pettits there is
. do you have any sort of guesstamate as to how much HP you are putting down??? anyway, i think the ecu is the problem, and not as much the turbos. i still plan on having BNR do a stage 3 on my turbos, but im begining to question using a modified stock ECU....... (only reason i want to stay with the stock one is that i like sequential operation...cause i bet the price of a modded ecu would be the same as an aftermarket one)

The aftermarket ECU will run much better and give endless control of your particular setup. I was talking to a guy in AU awhile back that was running the twins sequentially w/o the stock ECU. He had hooked up the vacuum lines to work manually. Since you have all the original stuff still you might be able to get it to work. I will have to see if I still have the email he sent me explaining how he made it work.
