Ugh, that sucks. Looks like you were using the stock primary rail too? We had a nightmare of a time getting the KG Parts rails to fit tightly without leaking...

At least it looks like the surrounding hoses/wires are in tact. Good luck

My guess is a leaky fuel injector oring. hard to catch unless you smell fuel before it ignites.

Luckily most of the damage is localized to the fuel lines, bent secondary fuel rail, and the primary injectors. I just tested my secondary injectors and they all click fine. I'll probably have the 2 that were close to the flames sent off to be flow tested just to be sure. I've been looking to upgrade to 1600cc primaries and i guess this gives me the push to do it now. Long story short i was taking a friend for a ride and after i did one boost pull smoke started billowing out of the dashboard. We pulled off and popped the hoodthere were flames coming from under the upper intake. I tried using coveralls to blot it out and my friend was standing there saying "I'd pee on it but i dont have to go right now" haha. He darted off to the nearest house and i flagged some lady down. I asked her if she had anything that could put out a fire. She thought for a second and said "I've got a gallon of milk". I then shouted "That'll Work!" So i doused out the fire with 2% milk... My friend came running up about 20 seconds later with a bucket of water and a fire extinguisher in hand. So i doused the motor down again with water just to make sure.

Heres a picture of the primary injectors. You can tell that it was a point of origin for the fire.

Its pretty much ruled out. The only current lines in that are are the injectors and they're protected by their own separate 10A fuse. At the first sign of short out that fuse would pop.

i saw a fire like that a few years ago at laguna, only sign of trouble was the smoke, and then the car started hesitiating in the upper revs, cause the wires for the injectors were on fire

Looks like fuel was burning, so it can't be just an electrical fire.
All the black soot on the lower intake manifold shows that it was a fuel fire.
Sorry to hear of the loss...
