Hmm... It might be best NOT to say, but word on the street is that it belonged to the owner of the infamous and 'now-defunct' "Mazda's and More" rotary garage...

I bet the carb is the result of "This project is out of control - Just get it to run" syndrome.

The whole description REEKS of a used car saleguy!
If the owner really "owned and operated a Mazda-specialty shop for more than 20 years", I'd think he'd use a little better description than...

I've known the guy since '92. I helped him fire that project up for the first time last year. Infact, that's my oil filter pedestal on his engine. I got his manifolds and TB by the way. 
He seemed to have two sides to his personality. When in salesman mode, he could get quite annoying, but in rotorhead mode, he was an ok guy.

Blow through is literallly having the turbo push or blow air through the turbo.
Draw through is basically putting the turbo on the intake of the turbo itself - LAG city. Not something I would suggest.
Blow through setups are not hard to do, people have simply welded an airbox around a carburator and rigged a way to mantain the seal and still be able to actuate the throttle for years. If it goes around the ENTIRE carb then its not very hard to do - but if you plumb the compressed air directly into the throttle body of the carb itself it has to be built to handle the boost - an airbox pressurizes the inside and outside of the carb, so thers no need for that. I see guys doing that with JY turbo v8 setups all the time... granted they have the skills to weld said airbox. Hell, Ive seen people use turkey pans they trimmed for an airbox, or something else from some JY, lmao.
Regardless, megasquirt would be superior to a carburator in terms of fuel metering, driveability and idle/part throttle, same for virtually any EFI setup. Hell, some sort of rigged TBI would be better, lol.
However, a 20b would be a lot easier at mantaining streetability than say, a 13b carburated turbo, by virtue of displacement. Id still say to learn to solder and get a damn megasquirt for fuel metering :P

I am the guy who bought this car. My name is Dan Devin, emai-dandevin@devinconstruction.net, phone 919-427-7579 and I would be glad to answer any question. I own 5 20b's and 7 RX-7's. I bought this car and drove it home to NC from Seattle and still own it.
I helped him get it to the point where it could be fired up to check that the RB ignition mod was functioning. It only fired up for a few seconds because the fuel system wasn't set up. After that, I don't know.
I never drove it or got a ride in it. My loss I suppose.
Anyway just looking at the pictures, it does seem like the front rotor would get the best mixture. I don't remember much about the Whipple. It's been like three years.

ahh, cool... love the manifold gasket
...I am interested because I have been thinking about doing something similar(even though lots of people seem to oppose it)There is very little information on here about S/C on rotories and it all seems to endin not enough power or the motor blew up... Sounds like turbos and nitrous back in the day
anyhow I wish more people would post up there supercharger exploits to share
