20b project from he!!

i'm current;y converting my crx to a rwd 20b setup and boy is it a pain in my arss.
had to completly rebuild front end lengthen and sub it in
so just converted to tubular with crx skin and cust susp sys (unequal a arms)
this is a bitch of a project but i think it will be well worth it in the end

a 650 hrs 20b in a light little nimble 89 honda crx
will look like just another little 4 banger honda
but will suprise anyone whom stoplight challanges me again
any suggestions on a rear end, i only have an old locker and would not wanna use it for too long if at all.

Ford 9" or even a Ford 8.8"
They both handle crazy power, and have tones of gearing options available. You can pick either up at local junkyards for a couple hundred bucks (or less).
Many drag cars run these.

What kind of transmission are you using?

A built 8.8" should handle the power fine, and will be cheaper, lighter, and take less power to turn than a full 9" setup.

I want pictures of this beast btw!

update
woohooo, i got a sponsor and he's gonna buy and install a very nice adjustable coil over suspension sys.(dont know what brand shock's yet)
and it's only gonna cost a sticker 3 inches tall at the top of my winsheild (yaaaaa)
i should of thought of a better title for the thread
because it is not hellish it is more like difficult but cherished and enjoyed
the front sub is almost finished (finaly)
this week and probly the next few i'll be molding the front clip's body panels together.
and this last week we put the finishing touches on the driveshft and tranny tunnel.
and since i'm not too worried bout weight i decided to go with the 9 inch rear (a pull from a friends wrecked "super" nova)
my luck is getting better by the day (part's)
found parts for the lambo door convert but is too damn expensive so will do it later.

not toooo much longer (less than 8 mos. i hope) then comes nopi.

update

sinse the last post: i'v finished molding the body panals together,
front sub is finished, susp. install is finished, and all that is going to be
matched up to the rest of the car this week.
i'v purchased all the lexan for full stock glass replacment.
i am almost finished rewiring the car, and the 6 point rollcage
goes in 2 weeks from now.
as will the mugen body kit.

????anyone have any suggestions on wheels and tires??

and as soon as the cage goes in so do the cobra misano
seats and crow 6 point formula harness' out of my late fathers fc3.
interior mods come later.

back to work i go now

Silver Kodiak, what clutch/flywheel combo are you using for the jericho 5-speed. What about the adapter plate? This is tha same tranny I will be running so your experience is valuable to me. And why a dogbox for drag racing, not that there is anything wrong with that. Just seems like an expensive option when other trannies are available for the same amount of money that are specific for drag racing.

i'll have to check on the question of the flywheel and adapter.
as for the use of that tranny, it was "free" i inherited it with the engine
as for drag, i dont do it all to often off the track, and i cant race the crx here
i would just like to wipe that import hating smirk off those crappy stang drivers faces
