20B FD Package Potentially For Sale

I'm on the fence at this point but leaning heavily towards letting the project go. In short, it's a 1995 montego blue 20B street ported car with too many mods to even list here. If anyone has serious interest, either PM me with your email address or email me at aaronlaurie@charter.net. I'll email a complete list of mods and pics. I've invested around $100,000 on this project. For my sanity and my marriage, unfortunately, I think it may be time to move on. I'm not looking for $100,000 on this, but this also is not a "I'm going to give this away for $20,000 deals, so please only serious inquires.

It would help if you gave a little more information.... miles on car, condition of car... Is car running?.... whats missing? how about some pics.... To be honest, if the car is currently not running, and needs a lot of work to get it going, you probably will be hard pressed to get much more than 20k... Your best bet would be to part the car out...

This is the kind of response I'm talking about. This in not going to be a lowballing competition. If you are seriously interested, then email me. IF you think the car is going to go for 20K, then you have no idea what it takes to do this project and do it right. No disrespect meant, but I'm tired of seeing trashing threads on this site.

The car has about 103K on the chasis, but is in great condition. The engine has 3000 miles on it. The car has a ton of upgrades to every system from all new gauges to diamond plated rear hatch to you name it. This will be an awesome car for the right buyer.

Thanks for the props! I hate doing this, but it is probably the right thing to do at this time.

The subframe is the Hinson system and works great with the bump steer correction kit. It handles great. I drove it around the Road America course in Elkhart Lake, WI on a 3 mile race track with excellent handling manners.

My builder is Tim Huttner of Huttner enterprises in Minnesota. He has a great reputation for ground builds, mods, etc.

i think if you were serious about selling you would post a list of mods, its current condition, and an asking price would be nice.. that way you dont have to send out a million e mails to lowballers.. i say get rid of the wife, unless you have kids...

+1 on getting rid of the wife. unless you have kids, of course. There will always be other chicks, but chances are there's only one car like this

pictures and details will weed out the wannabees, and spark the interest of the real buyers.

I'll work on getting pics and a description on board this weekend. I appreciate the support as this really sucks to consider selling this.

by no means was i low balling you, i was just giving you some insight on what you should do if your serious about selling the car... When i stated that it would be hard pressed to pull in much more than 20k, that is only if the car is not currently running, and in need of more work to get it complete... I have no idea what is done to the car, and the condition of the car, because you hadnt stated either. If this car is running and what not, i dont see you having any problem pulling in 30K+ on a well sorted out 3 rotor rx7...pics and a complete mod list would definitely help you out...

I suck at getting attachments on to this club site, but here goes nothing. I'll try to get the spec sheet on the build on and pics. If I can get the specs on, but not the pictures, then just email me at aaronlaurie@charter.net, and I'll email the pics to you.

The pic with the diamond plate trunk with the NOS and Cryo tank is too large in size for this site to upload, so I'll have to email that one to anyone interested in seeing it. I have a digital camera, so if other shots are desired, PM me or email me direct at aaronlaurie@charter.net.

Thanks,
Aaron

I tried a dyno of it in the fall. We didn't have the boost control hooked up yet and it was a very poor base tune. I just wanted to see where we were headed. It was about 400 whp, but we couldn't push it hard due to boost flying up to 25psi in a heartbeat. We didn't want to blow it up, so we backed off and only did a couple of runs. I've got to believe with a good tune and boost controller hooked up that we would easily be in the 500+ range.

Thanks for the compliments. It is a beautiful car.

Email sent.

If your parting out more of the car than the engine setup, I got dibs on the hood dampers!

Nice setup man. I'd keep her together and finish the project. At least give yourself a chance to enjoy the large investment you have made.
