If you throw enough money and time at it, oh and a little effort, you'll accomplish such a goal.

You could try the search function of the forum for general info. As for the specifics of an FB swap, you're sorta on your own. 20B powered 1st gens are more rare than FC and FD swaps.

The cost would be about the same as for a 2Gen RX-7, which usually runs between $10,000 and $35,000, depending on how much you can accomplish on your own and how much you need to contract to professionals.

Here is a custom 3-rotor in a 1Gen. A 20B swap would be similar, but the block is slightly longer.

I had an fc with 20b, but i totaled it at the track, now I have installed the engine in fb. The major problem of installing the was centerlink because the oil pan would rest on it. I modified it and moved the trany about 3 inches towards the rear . The rest was easy.

Rotaryforlife...what do you mean by "the rest is easy"?? How much does a 20b usually cost. This idea of puttin one in my fb is sounding better and better everyday. Thanks for all the info.

The motor runs in the range of +/- $4,000 depending on the condition.

And I think Rotaryforlife was saying that the hard part is getting the motor and tranny mounted. Since he had all the parts from the FC and had done that kinda swap..... I assume it's easier the second time around.

Absolutely. Swapping a whole 20B setup from one generation RX-7 to another wouldn't really be all that difficult. The hard part is the initial setup. I can't even begin to tell you how much time and money was wasted just trying to figure things out on my 20B project. In fact, I'm still trying to figure out the transmission issue, lol.

Well, ive got nothing but time....i just need the dough. Ive got a spare car that i plan on puttin it in, so there wouldnt really be any rush. What type of stuff would i need to get? Like what tranny and rear end...that is pretty much my main concern other then the engine. If i do this, i want to do it right the first time...well, i dont really want there to be a 2nd time. Know anybody that is selling an engine in good condition?

Yes the second time around is much easier, but if you have the right tools, equipment and mechanical abilities, you shouldn't have to much trouble with it. The cost of my engine was $2600.00 I tored it apart and rebuild it. I'll try to post some pictures.

Im an N/A person. Is it easier to set it up as N/A or would it be simpler to set it up as a turbo? If it doesnt cost too much more, and isnt too much more complicated, id be down for running a turbo. I think it would be nice to have the more Hp, but it isnt necessary. thanks.

I think it's easiest to run it with unsequenced stock turbos. However, it depends on the condition of your used engine, your resources, and the current setup of your car. The single turbo option is usually the most expensive route, so I suggest avoiding that in your case.

Yes, that's always the goal, but it never works out that way. Of course, more planning will most likely reduce the amount of problems.

It looks like you were trying to post pictures of member number 548173, but that doesn't look like the car you described. If you post your member number I can probably make a link to your car.

This is all I get by reworking your previous links:
