20B Exhaust Ports

I've stripped my engine down to the block to try and get a good look at the apex seals through the exhaust ports. However, it looks like the sleeves in the exhaust ports are blocking me from getting a good view. If I had to rebuild the engine I was thinking of porting both the intake and exhaust. I know guys go with the FD housings and believe they do so because of the exhaust ports. Is there anything that can be done with the stock 20b exhaust ports (remove the sleeve, porting, etc.) or is going to an FD housing the only option?

You can change to turboII exhaust sleeves.

I've read conflicting views as to whether FD sleeves are able to fit in 20B rotor housings, or not. T2 sleeves will definitely fit.

Fd sleeves fit just fine you can also make your own sleeves if you got the time and want to put in the effort.

I am just about to change the sleeves in my 20b housing to the T2 sleeves. What is the best way to get the roll pin out to change them?

Anyways can the sleeves be ordered from the factory separately? Anyone got a part #?

Thanks T-von! I was using the screw method, but I just cant get it to work without stripping the threads so was looking for other ideas.....

Never tried ordering sleeves seperately.

The 20b exhaust sleeves are very restrective & close over about 1/4 - 1/3 of the port.

The 20b exhaust sleeves are fairly restrictive in comparison to the T2 or FD sleeves which have a larger inside diameter.
