20B Engine weight
Does anyone know the bare engine weight (no manifolds) also the weights of a series 4/5/6 13B's would be good too.
I'm considering installing the 20B into my FC, but am wondering what will it shift the weight distribution to? as the factory 13B setup is nearly 50/50.
My car is only driven on the weekends and about once a month at the track so weight dist is pretty important to me. I have considered the 20B route as it would be more reliable for me in the long term as a low boosting 3 rotor compared to a high boosting 2 rotor.
Any comments would be much appreciated.

I all depends on how you build the car. You need to check the applicable racing rules to see the minimum weight allowed for a 20B RX-7 in whatever class you will be racing. If it helps any, here in the US, a GT1 RX-7 with a non-turbo 20B has a minimum weight of 2100 lbs.

Sorry. What I should've said was that it is only on the track open days (i.e. you only need overalls and a helmet)
If I could only afford to race in a season
So its pretty much a street car.

In my car, I have a 51%/49% weight distribution. If you haven't already seen it, look at www.cris.com/~Asam/20B.html
BTW, it's for sale.

Rollin' coal and 53mpg!
40k?
Wow.... how about a Schwinn mountain bike... umm...a Super Nintendo... and a sock full of quarters?
J/k man. I'm banking on the fact it's worth every penny and more, though.
If I had the forty g's, I'd be getting this done NOW

I wish I could buy your car, as a 51/49 20B would be the absolute shiz. But I live in New Zealand. A fair way to ship your car and the fact that I could probably build it cheaper being the land of jap imports and all.
