I saw that car in person. Was actually put together by this young kid in his early 20's that use to work for Carlos Lopez about 5 years back. Smart guy. did the conversion on his own and it was actually really clean. Never heard from him again though. hope he is doing well.

Welcome to like 8 years ago. It was all over the DeLorean forums (then the DML) back in the early part of this millennium. And since I am both a DeLorean and RX-7 guy, I still get at least one email daily from someone surfing my website that says "omg! 20b delorean!" as if it is new.
Cool car though. Too bad the 20B is stock and the car is painted black.

Very few were actually painted, all things considered. Most of the time it was done improperly so the paint is easy to strip off and the stainless can be easily regrained. It's just when there is hidden accident damage that it becomes a problem.

Another 20b Delorean! This one SS!
Currently working on a 20B Delorean conversion. Need help with you all that are familiar with 20b. Especially with running it with ltx12 microtech.

There are so many better ECU choices for basically no extra money. Haltech P1000 and MegaSquirt MS3-Pro are at the top of my list.
While the Microtech hardware is solid and reliable, the software in the ECU and for tuning is out of date by 20 years. No closed loop, terrible matrix table interpolation, virtually no datalogging, no configurable IO, crazy dizzy themed timing model, and the list goes on and on.
I'd lean towards the MS3-Pro myself but I'm biased.

Please don't use a POS Microtech.

Even still, I'd sell it to the first sucker willing to pay, and then buy an ECU that doesn't suck. Having a Microtech on my own car, which was bought under the promise from Microtech that it would be continually updated with new features, I'm in the same situation.

Yeah I hear you. Definitely outdated. The project has been five years in the works tearing car down to the frame, full frame up restoration. Just can't wait to get it driving! Hopefully within a couple of months.... I will then look at changing ecu likely! Anyway you have a Delorean also? Or what is your interest in deloreans?

Come close to buying one several times but have always had other projects on the go. However I have promised myself that once my Cosmo is done, my next project WILL FINALLY be a DeLorean. Hopefully '81 as I like the gas flap on the hood and if I can find one without the hood styling lines, so much the better.
For years there was one rotting a block from me, covered in weeds, home to animals yet the owner was a hoarder. I couldn't get the car no matter what I tried and ultimately after he died a mechanic bought it, tried to get it running, gave up, sold at auction then it was scrapped shortly later. All due to a minor issue with the automatic tranny governor.
Obviously my DeLorean will get a 20B as well. Have had the project in my head for at least 15 years.

20B Delorean
I've been interested in DeLoreans since....forever I believe.

Aaron.....
Sorry to hear about the "almost" delorean project. That is the absolute worst thing, people that don't know what they are doing then end up scrapping these cars! Wow, unbelievable. My car 10544 would have likely been heading for the scrap yard, was rescued after being under water in a garage after hurricane Katrina. I didn't much care, I knew the engine and tranny would be junk, but wasn't bargaining for the electrical harness issues! OH WELL..... glad I saved it from the scrap yard!
