20b conv q's

i am looking into doing this conversion on my 95 fd. the question i had is how much do these conversions usually cost. I am able to find a motor and auto trans for just uner 4,000 right now that only has 30,xxx miles on it. I will poboably use the 5 speed i have. i have a new koyo radiator. the only things i think i will need is to have and exhaust made obviously. Also an intercooler that will work with this set up. Any help or advice i can get from you guy's would help tremendously. thanks

youll need a whole new subframe unless you fab up your stock subframe
Some type of engine management system.
As far as cost it all depends on what you want your cars setup to consist of....it could cost a good 20k at least for a nice setup

as little as 10k and up could be possible but not reccomended to budget that low.

you need:
engine
ecu
subframe
exhaust
mounts
maybe modified spindles

basic list

well i talked with hinson. thier kit to physically mount it in the car and not have any problems is 1,600. The engine comes with the stock twins, ecu, wiring harness and a auto tranny that i will sell. I know i will have to fab a exhaust to go to the cat back i have. should be about 300-400 dollars. i was told that i can use my koyo radiator that i have already. the thing i believe i will need is problably a computer and an intercooler. i am going to sell my motor turbos with the apexi power fc. that should cover my computer. My intercooler i will probably have one made for about 1,000. i also am selling some stuff i have for about 3,000+. I should be able to do this realitivly cheap. I can get that motor and everything for 3,500. Thanks and keep up with the info. it is appreciated.

If your tuner can tune the PFC and it'll run the 20b, then use it and don't waste your money.

I don't think the PFC can make a 20B run...

lol. i talked to the shop and said i cannot run the pfc. he said that most run the mocrotech computers. i am waiting back to see how much they can give me for all my stuff. the motor will have the turbos and the pfc going with so i am hoping to get a decent ammount out of it and the single turbo stuff i have. So far it seems as if i might be able to do this alot cheaper than everyone is saying. but you know how projects go. i might get discouraged and just put the single on the ole 13b and wait untill i can get the motor ported to run anymore than 15 psi. For now i am praying that i can do this transfer and enjoy before i leave for basic in january.

My 20B Turbo came with a Motec. My peripheral port N/A 20b will be using a Haltech E11. A PFC won't run a 20b. I have one that I planned on running on my FD but if I go 3 rotor on it I won't need it any more.
