Thats is awesome.

If it breaks a seal, it will still run and easily make enough power to land.

It's not going to spit anything if run with the right apex seals. Failing compression seals aren't the only thing you have to worry about. Besides the engine really wont be under that much stress, since it will run at a constant tunned rpm.

You refer to your POH and do your emergency landing procedures.

Actually, Rotary Aviation has had great success with rotary powered airplanes. Rotaries are plenty reliable for aviation. The only disadvantage for the rotary is the engine produces no torque. 5,000 RPMs would need to be used with a Gear Reduction Drive. Lycoming Engines produce a lot of torque at 2200 RPM. Something the rotary can't possibly do.
Would be cheaper and more reliable to buy a Cessna though.

Twin diesel engine Diamond Star is a plane packed with plenty of torque and range to meet the best of all worlds.

wow the fuel consumption on that diamond star is amazing, if the money ever presents itself i wanted to build a Vans kit plane with a 20b in it, and find a way to strengthen the airframe so it can handle a higher wingload. its that or build a viperjet mk2, lol either way money is an issue. heres a link of a clip of the viperjet

Mistal Engines manufacture rotary aircraft engines, while they are based on Mazda 13B and 20B engines, they don't contain any Mazda manufactured parts.

Personally if I had a money no issue, craving for a personal aircraft I'd want a Eclipse 400.

the Eclipse 400 is a 4 seat, single jet engine aircraft.

Specs grabbed direct from company website: Eclipse Aviation

Performance
Max cruise speed (FL350) 330 ktas
Long range cruise speed (FL400) 290 ktas
Max range (FAA IFR + 45-min reserve) 1,250 nm
Service Ceiling 41,000 ft
Time to Climb to FL250 13 min
Time to Climb to FL350 22 min
Stall Speed (VSO) 61 kt
Takeoff Distance to 50 ft. (Sea level, ISA, MGTOW) 2,045 ft
Landing Distance (Sea level, ISA, Max landing weight) 2,100 ft

Here's a Youtube video of it flying over California.

Unfornuately the company looks to be a victim of the reseson, so it may never make it into production.

pretty sweet lookin, its slower and less adgile then the viperjet, but it is a 4 seat plane, the viperjet is bassiclly a scaled down f-15 without all the cool **** like missiles, hahaha. with a ceiling of 41k i hope they offer it with suplemental oxygen. i believe anything above 16k you need it. it is a bit thirsty as well, deffinatly more economical ways of flying, like that diamond twinstar, but hell who buys a jet to be economical? lol just wanna get there fast and in style
