Question 20B advantages

What are the 20B advantages over the 13B and is it more efficient and does it have the possibility of more horsepower then the 13B.

More displacement! Which equals out in to more power and tourqe. It is just as efficient as a 13b but with a extra rotor.

will you PLEASE read before you post you damn troll? please?

let's see... there's the viper V-10, then your 800hp LS1 out of your old camaro, not being able to find anywhere on the internet a turbo that can support 600-800 hp on your new motor (whatever that might be), and now this.

you clearly have very little if any understanding at all of cars, much less rotaries, so go ahead and either pay someone to build you a car or do like everyone else did. . . START READING. there is a ton of information out there

please stop wasting everyone's time all throughout the forum asking pointless questions like this.

First I'm checking out possibilities for my rx-7 and I already said my v10 rx7 was stupid and I wanted to see the differences between an LS1 and a 20B and by the way I'm new to rotaries and if I knew a **** load about 20B swap and RX-7 I wouldnt have asked these questions.

LS1 swaps are easier, cheaper, and you can go 427ci, or install an STS remote turbo. i personally would prefer an 20b but will go with a V8 due to a few kits being avaliable, and i think the support and encouragement you can get from torquecentral is second to none, and they are much more forgiving than people tend to be here.

To me, putting a piston-type in an rx7 should be a crime and ive driven 20b powered rx7s before. torque and horsepower feel and dyno numbers are comparable or even surpasses v10s with the right ecus and mods. i find that 20bs supply that low end pull that 13b 2-rotor motors lack. especially with two sequential small turbos. i just bought a 20b clip for my gen2 and i plan to document the whole swap and post it on this site.

Do a search there is alot of info, you wouldn't have to ask basic questions like this if you did a search first.

Unless you have a **** load of time, money, patience and mechanical knowledge do something else or pay a shop to do everything.

If you wonder why people on here get a little testy its because people ask the same questions over and over agian, it gets really annoying to others that have been on here a while and taken the time to USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION!

I don't get it. You have an extremely powerful LS1 not being used, and yet you are asking about engine swaps. For the money it would take to do a 20B, you could get that LS1 in and kicking with the twin-turbos.

The 20b has more displacement, so more power, more torque, etc. the engine weighs something close to 300 lbs without fluids which is less than the 4 banger in my miata. I think Atkins rotary makes a crossmember for the rx7 that makes the swap easier. Talk to the guy at rotorsportsracing.com if you want to know more about 20b performance in an rx7.

rotary > LS1 I was looking at doing a LSx series swap on my miata for ***** and giggles but I have scrapped that plan in favour of a rotary preferably a 20b. Its all on preference, not to mention a stock 20BTT makes about the same power/torque as a LS1.
