20b

Hey if anyone out there has a 20b [3 Rotor] engine can you please tell me how many mpg you get? also, will new fuel injectors and light weight parts increase mileage?

Cheers.

If you're looking at the mileage, the 20B is not something that's going to give it to you...

I was interested in this question as well. I know the 13B-REW gets like 14/18mpg but how does the 20B compare?

depends on how you drive. i think i get about 8-10mpg. stock turbos, 1600cc secondaries, supra tt FP

like someone else said, 20b's arent for gas mileage.

Making frequent stops for gas and having a thick wallet is the only way you will be able to DD a boosted 20b FD. An NA 20b on the other hand probably wouldn't be any worse than a boosted 13b, may actually be cheaper if you are running 87 octane.

Originally, I got about 13.5 mpg on my daily commute and about 15.5 mpg on long freeway trips. Once I added a wide-band and enabled feedback to the Tec-II units, I got about 15 mpg on the daily commute. I haven't been on a long trip to check that mileage figure.

How do I daily drive this car? Joyfully! I can't afford a weekend warrior, so it goes to work, to the grocery store, etc. To put things in perspective, most high-powered, exotic cars (Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc.) get similar mileage. Few cars producing more than 400 hp get high mileage numbers. Chevy was able to get high EPA numbers (approx. 26 mpg) by putting an "over-overdrive" gear in it's six-speed tranny that went in the Corvette and the Camaro. I'm not sure what the cars got in the real world.

If I don't sell the car, and if I do a single turbo upgrade, and if the upgraded motor overpowers my T-II gearbox, I'll convert to the Corvette/Camaro 6-speed and see what it does for my mileage figures.
