the pipes seem to thin to be mild steel , so i am guessing ss ( i hope its 321)
manifold design looks great
only problems with these things are, usually when yuo weld the wastegate pipng on , the damn thing starts looking like something out of star-trek
nice piece tough.....good job!!

Yeah, I was thinking stainless steel, but the discoloration of the weld spots looks more like mild steel unless it's the wrong filler rod!

I was told by John that it was some combination of Ti and 30? stainless steel.. But I'll let John explain.. As I just over heard something and I could be completely wrong..

John, is that your manifold? Crap man, it's weird to think that's the car that used to sit in my driveway.

Oh, and I'm thinking of doing my own 20B now over the course of a year or so. Going all-out with some of the stufff, I'd like to work with a friend whose parents own a Tool & Die shop to develop a custom SHORT lower half of an intake manifold with (2 or 3 per rotor) injectors on it as close to the engine as possible, and for the upper half (curling over the engine I think) I want to have telescoping intake runners like on the 787B, going into a large plenum.

Matt - No, that's the other John's manifold, I'm keeping the stock twins for now, as I won't be able to put down as much power as they can put out already : )

Yes it is Inconel, I figured I might as well go all the way with it. DP will be made out of it to 31/2 in all the way to the exhaust . The wastegate is weld'd to the manifold the pics were taken before it was done. I'm also having the manifold, DP, and exhaust housing sent to HPC Coatings to be thermal coat'd after all the mock-up is done.
