I just turfed my RE Amemiya twin plate carbon and installed the OS Giken triple plate, good to a thousand horse they say. I went through 3 trannies in a very short time 2 within 2 days..lol..I've ordered a couple of items ,

1) bell housing adaptor
2) tailshaft extension housing

This way I can run a beefed up R154 out of a Supra with a few Marlin Crawler pieces. OS Giken does have an upgrade for the FD trans supposedly good for 800whp(according to the rep) but the R154 is a superior trans to begin with. I'm putting 750whp through a stock R154 in my Supra no probs. It'll be easier in the FD as it weighs 800lbs less.
I'm also considering adding twin 044's inline aswell as the twins in my tank.

Note: If you are considering going with a dog box I do have a guys emaill address who is selling a GForce built T56 with a twin plate Mcleod clutch and all the PNP stuff you'll need to install, ds, trans mount and such, then you'll be bullit proof till you get back to the rear diff..hth

It must be that time of the year for fuel pumps to go out. One of mine died also so the car is back at Kilo to fix the fuel pump and for a few other small items

Maybe we can both go to the dyno in a few weeks. Heard you had a rough go of it on your last trip.

Yep, 20 psi of fuel pressure was my first clue something was wrong. Should be 40. Rethinking the whole way my fuel pumps work - they are wired directly to the battery for full voltage but of course they then run on max the whole time. I'd like to get them to run at minimum at idle and then at full power when needed so we shall see. Jesus thinks he can control this through the Microtech. Would also help with alternator voltage at idle too.

Sorry about the bumper and the troubles at the dyno. You'll get it sorted out and will make some good power then.

If you can deal with the noise of a dog box do it? If not, a t56 is your best bet...

That sounds like a good setup. Should help you with your high end boost and the power you want to make. Have you considered the Synapse wastegates? They flow like mothers (the 50mm is = to a 60mm) and two of them would do very well on your car. You could even use the smaller 40mm units for your app. They are also non-diaphram units:

I have one 50mm unit on my car and it works great. I control it with my Greddy boost controller. FYI - the cost is also great on these so it is pretty much a no-brainer. Heard about them from a drag racer in CA. Able I think? Great guy.

^^ i've heard mixed results about synapse wastegates.. I really would like to know if they are as good as they can be hyped up to be, because they have a lot of benefits including cost...

Mixed results? None that I know of. They have to be hooked up slightly different than a regular wastegate and they have multiple options for base spring pressure so maybe this is what you speak of.

PITA? Easy to use, smaller frame, better pre-boost build up and they control boost better because they don't have a rubber diaphragm like the others (which can go bad over time). Plus they cost about 60% of what you will pay for the Tials so it was a non brainer for me.

The part that is "difficult" for most is how you hook them up to the boost controller. They have an extra "nipple" that has to be hooked up but that is about it. Kilo had a difficult time figuring it out but I came down and hooked it up And if I can do it, anyone can!

Regardless, two 44mm Tials will definitely help to control boost for you as you go for 800+ HP.

Here is a pic of Abel Ibarra's 6 sec 20B drag car. He runs two Synapse wastegates and he is the guy that spoke to me about Synapse and how good the product is:

I think I read they were migrating to a new server and it's definitely messed up right now. Here is a good article about the technology:

http://www.turbomagazine.com/tech/07...ate/index.html

You could also call them to discuss: 858.457.1700

I'd like to think I will be down this weekend but I have asked Jesus to see if his upholstery guy can redo my car. It might just be my seats (tan redo) or maybe going all black with the carpet replaced in black and anything tan plastic dyed to match. If this happens, it will probably be a few weeks.

I keep going back and forth with keeping it tan retro or with updating to an all black stealth look.
