$30k for them to do it. They were trying to sell a complete, although used, kit a few weeks ago for about $10,000, but they may or may not have already sold it.

Give 'em a call.

I don't remember how many miles it had, but not a lot. It was, however, in a race car, so I'm sure it had some decent wear on it.

But like I said, give 'em a call tomorow, no body knows what Pettit charges for the parts to make a reproduce a "Banzai" better then Pettit.

Yep! That's the one! For the love of god, someone buy that, its such a good deal it hurts. I'd buy it if I didn't already have half the parts.

Actually, I'm tempted to do a groupbuy with it and part it out like we did with that guys fuel setup. If no one buys it from Ebay I'm sure we can give them a call and give 'em an offer they can't refuse...

Why is it that the better deal ALWAYS shows up after you spend money on the "no so good" deal?

Watch, as soon as I fire up my swap someone will start selling Cosmo front clips for $1200 or something...

Has anybody worked with Japan Parts ? I have been considering one of their 20B motorsets ($2900 w/o shipping) and either K2RD or FC Store mounts... Anybody...?

JDM Japan Parts changed to some broke *** sight so you'll have to call them or email for prices and stuff...

That motor on ebay is the engine out of the orange fd in the courtyard at sevenstock the last two years or to jog some of your mammories even more, the guys car who had a very expensive girlfriend with an expensive chest. Thats how I remember it at least.
Someone bought it out from under my friend at the last minute while he was negotiating the price without the ecu. Someone is a lucky bastard; anyone form here?

Japan parts is a good source. They had a cosmo front clip in a few months ago that was in great shape. At least the clip was. We checked the compression with an actual Mazda Rotary Engine Compression checker with the printout (man I love those things). Anyways, the rear rotor was flatlined . He wasn't willing to negotiate with the price either, even after seeing the test results himself. Great souce for all kinds of parts for dirt cheap too.

After having seen mounts from both places, the K2RD mounts are much better quality, but also way more expensive.

That's going to vary for each and every car, but they have the 1/4 mile ET on the site - www.pettitracing.com

They don't have 1/4 mile times for the regular TKT packages. However the Pettit site shows the Banzai's #'s to do the 1/4 in 11.4 at 126mph on street tires. With a good launch set-up those #'s could improve greatly.

http://www.pettitracing.com/sections/Banzai.html

It says:

"Pettit Racing in Fort Lauderdale, FL, has created the Banzai RX-7. Dispatching the quarter mile in a scant 11.4 seconds at over 126 mph, a driver is just at the first half of the Banzai's performance envelope: top speed is estimated at 240 mph."
