Zero Oil Pressure/Oil in coolant

I pulled my '82 RX-7 out of storage yesterday to get it ready for use.
After changing the oil I started and the oil pressure guage was at zero (I did notice oil pres. when I first started it). I grabbed the oil return line from the coller (top mount) and it was hot. Could this be a guage failure? How do I test the guage/check for oil pressure?
Thanks

this is probably a really bad idea, but i hooked up a 9-volt battery to the back of my gauge to see if it was working.

oh yeah, and im hating it for you, cause it doesnt sound good.

check that the oil pressure sensor is wired up. the wire does like to fall off.

the sensor is in the rear plate of the motor. it is screwed into the plate. sorta a brass looking sensor with a metal tip. not too far under the oil filter.

oil in coolant is a BAD THING. a seal is toast somewhere. sorry dude.

you might want to remove the oil filter and see if there's metal particles in there. representing bearing material that went bye-bye.

best of luck, pulling for you!
