You Carry A Gun?

I have a S&W 357 I take everywhere. If some **** wants to take my car at a stop light I think I might surprise him.

Why don't you post your challenges in the lounge?

This has nothing to do with cars.

Besides, you won't find any takers here since 1st genners are too nice...

This should be in the Lounge.

But I carry a .40

And the wife has a Tarus 38sp.

I try to stay very alert at any stop and watch for people around.

It's posts like these that make me glad I'm Canadian.

Nowhere in Canada do you have to be wary of someone ******* you up at a stoplight.

Yeah, I hear you. That **** started in the blue states of New York and California. The South had never even heard of drive by shootings or carjackings or road rage or even stoplight windshield washer bums until we saw it in NY or LA on TV.

At least we got all the consciencious objectors... spelled all together across our Northern border. ( You know one when you meet it... plaid flannel shirts and KDLang lunch box ).

If you didn't have guns, then there would be knives, can't stop the violence. But my curiosity is why everyone is uptight about this, when did you ever have to use a gun while driving?

Man, what ever happened to "Just Flooring the Gas" when there is trouble. Or, as I like to do, giving the windshield washing bum all the change that is otherwise cluttering up my pockets/car. I know, I'm a total commie pinko.

Anyone remember the US of Canada/Jesusland email forward deal? Why are all the Jesuslanders trying to bust caps in one another? Did I miss the 11th commandment? Thou shalt bust caps in thy neighbours ***!

Fear no man. If I get shot at a stoplight, I'll be famouser than I ever would be otherwise.

Must be pretty sad to be so afraid that carrying a gun is 'normal'.

I would if our stupid government didn't have it's panties in a knot over gun control. That said I don't ever expect to be in a situation where a weapon would help me, unless it's in the woods where I carry a rifle anyway. The only thing I'm for is safe gun handling classes in public school, accidents are the #1 weapons related death; all children should be tought to be safe. If I lived in certain areas of the US then I'd carry, and I'd be damn sure my wife did (she's tiny, 4'11"). As a matter of fact I feel safer the more guns I know are around me, even if they aren't mine.

Right into the back of the car in front of you? Or behind you?

The danger of being attacked when you're in a car comes from when you can't go anywhere. ie, you're behind or infront of someone in traffic, when they've already got a gun in your window (I promise, bullets are faster than your car), or if a group of people use cars to block you in for whatever reason (obviously this doesn't happen too often but it could).

Why concealed ? Hell, the Beretta .380 or the Llama .45 on the dash ( or dangling from the rearview mirror ) would be a deterrant I would think.

so do you think most poor as **** crack heads get their guns legally from the local gun shop? no they steal them from people like you guys who have guns in your cars and in your homes...then you buy more guns to protect yourselves from the ones you bone heads let be stolen...cuz "what is the point of having a gun for self protection if you have to get it from the safe box, unlock the trigger gaurd and load it" leaving it to be easily accessed by any criminal with 1/4 a brain

its a ciclical problem originaly began by the gun owners...not the criminals...

in canada where there are very few handguns and assault rifles...very few gun deaths...in britian where there are almost no guns of any kind...except in the hands of the irish and the cops....almost no gun deaths a year...

take a lessons from the people from the north and accross the atlantic...you are safer without guns than with them.

The best way for children to be safe around guns is to not have them around guns.

Do we teach our kids how to handle pipe bombs safely? No. Do we teach our kids how to handle butterfly knives safely? No. We focus on how to keep these things away from our kids. It's better to offer solutions dealing with how to handle conflict without having to resort to guns, knives etc. When we start teaching our kids step-by-step instructions on handling weapons, we condone and effectively promote their use.
