Yokohama ES-100 tires > Motorcyle

UPDATE: The tires are great! 205/50/15

On hwy321, I got behind a motorcycle. He look back at me and downshifted to leave me. (Thinking to myself, "I wonder how well the tires handle") I down shifted to 3rd and squeezed the thottle. short shifted into 4th going 75mph. I still do not know the absolute maximum traction the tires have . . . So I would brake or lift to settle the car before each corner. but once the car settled, I squeezed the thottle and gained on the bike. Each turn I would catch up to him. My car is on stock suspesion so I was please with keeping up with him.

The bike was a yellow Suzuki with dual straight pipes under the seat. I dunno much about bikes. A friend said it could have been a Hybussa, which does not handle great. It could have been but I do not care. He keep looking behind him to see if I was still there. I guess the rider was just new at riding.

So I give the tires a good score on DRY / WET traction

Yet to find out on tread wear. . .

Bet he was a newbie rider and could not corner. Either that or it was a crummy bike and let me tell you that it was no hyabusa. One of those bikes would have smoked you no matter how bad the rider! Anyone that knows bike also knows that my interceptor is no street beast but I can walk away from most cars. It has a claimed 1/4 of 12.97 or something to that effect.

Any way nice kill and I might have to look into those tires. Give a try again with another bike and see what happens. Good luck on the project. You are all stock right?

As a matter of fact, I just got off of my buddies new Hyabussa (sp?) and I will tell you straight out that it handles like a dream. I won't even begin to talk about the power that it has. Feels pretty heavy sitting in the driveway, but once you get her rolling......
