torque setting on tokico blues - upper nuts

anyone know how much the top nut should be torqued down on the tokico blues (rear)? I dont have any papers that would come with them cause they were already on the car (im reusing them in my rebuild cause they seem fairly new). TIA

Probably the same as the stock ones. Do you have a FSM or a Haynes or something?

A little over tightening never hurt anything in my experiance..............

The FSM says 47-59 ft-lb for the piston rod to mounting block. (85 FSM) Mounting block to suspension tower, 17-22 ft-lb.

Overtightening may cause binding of the thrust bearing, compromising steering.

Like any shock, tighten till the bushings compress and the OD (wide part of the curve like these parenthesis) matches the OD of the big washer. No need to over tighten, the rubber bushings serve to allow for slight misalignment when the rear axle moves.
