Question Yet another TII into FB swap thread...

I didn't post on the sticky because it doesn't seem like anyone was checking it anyway, and my questions are very specific.

First off, what are the major differences between the GSL-SE and any other first gen, engine aside? Is there some reason (besides the cover and the pan!) that the GSL-SE is preferable?
Next question-intercooler/radiator...will a FC setup work in a first gen? Granted, I'd have to custom pipe the intercooler, no problem, but I'm more concerned with engine cooling. I'm considering a Fluidyne radiator for the car, but if I can't make it fit, I guess there's no point, eh? It gets awfully hot here in the summer, and this thing is just a summer car...or will be, rather.
Next question-TII rear end. Any way to fit one of those bastards on a 1st gen? would it be all custom fabrication at that point? I only ask because I want to use the TII's rear end and half-shafts...
Last question-anyone used the Mariah Spec 4 kit (or whatever it's called...the "4", not the "1")....I'd like to see how it looks on a 1st gen.

1) The bolt pattern, the LSD and disc brakes all the way around is a big plus

2) FC radiator is probally a no go I got an 88 vert rad sitting here and I doubt it would ever fit in there... I got a 2 row radiator I picked up locally, and I got a large ISUZU NPR Intercooler in there and it fits in my 85

3) Who knows, looks like a shitload of trouble to me. Just do a Ford 9 conversion, they are plentiful in junkyards and the machine work done for like less than $200 seems to be about right... grannyspeedshop.com has some kits to mount a ford rear in a 7

4) Cant help ya there

1) Like Mike said, plus the suspension is different to I think. Looks like you already understand though that you need to take the GSL-SE oil pan, and the front member..
2) It could work I'm sure. If you wanted to do a top mount, you'd probably have to do some custom duct work. As I remember, my 12A sits pretty low in the car on my race car, I think it'd fit under the hood with a top mount.
3) That's a whole bag of worms you don't want to touch. That'd make you go to independent rear suspension, and yeah it's going to be all custom, I haven't heard of any kits or anything that people have done. Although it would be pretty cool if someone did ($$$$$)
4) I don't touch body kits, until I get into Production racing classes, they don't concern me and are a waste of money in my opinion. But to each his own.
