Yet Another No Start

Hello all,

I know I havn't been around in a while.... 'cause my SE has been treating me very nicely for quite a while now........
until this past saturday.

Now, I've already attempted to figure this out using the search and flipping through the FAQ, but havn't really had any results.

The car is currently with a mechanic friend of mine because I am too busy with school right now to work on it myself....
but here's a summary of what's been going on:
('85 SE)

- The car will turn over, but not start. Once in a while it sputters a few times, but only while the starter is running.
- I smell gas. I hear the injectors.
- The wires/dizzy and rotor/plugs have been replaced. I believe he did his best to unflood while doing the plugs.
- The car wouldn't start that night. The next morning it started on the first try. Now it won't start again.

I should note that I had a nasty antifreeze leak the day before this happend. However, I don't believe I overheated the engine or ran it dry.
The car ran fine when I parked it, then 12 hours later it just wouldn't start.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)

That happened to my SE a month ago: in the morning I had to crank it over for a couple minutes before it would start. I was ready to order some rebuilt injectors, figuring it was worn leaky FIs flooding the plugs. But in the meantime I gave it the famous Temporary Internal Water Seal Fix with colloidal suspended copper (because it was consuming a cup of coolant per week) and I haven't had a problem since. Starts immediately.

Maybe your plugs are being drowned by a coolant leak, as mine apparently were.

Yikes. I hope that's not it.

I do know the coolant leak was tracked down to a bad hose which has been replaced......

I'll save that as a last resort fix... :-/
