my gfs 81 has mismatched gauges... the speedo numbers are yellow, but the rest of the gauges arent. She wants all the gauges to match (can't say I blame her) and since she is going to paint the car yellow, she wants to change the tach, and other gauges to the yellow numered ones.... which years had gauges with yellow numbers

 

My 83 has yellow numbers. Also the 83 speedo goes to 130, where as the 81-82 goes to 85.

 

My 83 has orange-ish numbering on all the gauges. 79 & 83-85 have 130 MPH, while 80-83 only got 85 MPH

 

i got an 84 orange letter on black speedo 130 as well

 

My numbers are definately yellow compared to the damn-near red of the series 3 cars.

 

I dunno. Lemme go check real quick.

 

My 83 1/2 has yellow, for sure.

 

so, anyone got a spare set of yellow numbered gauges?
