Which year ignitions will fit a 79 RX-7

Have a bad ignition on a 79 and need to swap for a good one.
Are any of the other years ignitions compatible?
Thanks,
Ben

80 for sure (sw assy). Don't know about FBs. The column cover is diff so the sw body prob is too. That said the sw insert separates, and maybe that would fit in your 79 ign body?? And then there is wiring diffs.

Define ignition. You can swap almost any of it depending on what your talking about.

i have a 79 and just attempted installing a 85 ignition and it wont fit around the steering shaft.

I think we are stuck with 79-80 ignitions only
