Cool wut do i have to do?

i wnt to put a 5 lug conversion on my fb with da 2nd gens 4 pstn brake calipers in the frnt and a 9 inch or 8.8 inch 5 lug diff in the rear.
with that being i wnt to put 14 or 15x 8.5 frnt and 14 or 15x9.5 in the rear
what mods would i have to do to make this happen.
keep in mind i want the best traction possible for this set up because my car will b used for drift and autoX whil still remaining streetable..

No need to replace the rear end for drift or autocross. This will actually be a downgrade for autocrossing. Just make sure you have LSD, or upgrade to a gsl or se rear end if you don't (also gives disc brakes on rear). The only reason you would need to go with a 8.8 rear is if you are putting out over 300 horse, and even then it's not always necessary.

Like the Doc said, if you want to upgrade the brakes and go to five lug wheels, check out www.re-speed.com Great people to work with, and Billy will answer any questions you may have to get this done.

hey trochoid
1 my laptops buttons are messed up so instead of spelling the words out i just spell it in short terms...
is the word ******* spelled good enough for you?
and is my typing proper enough for you?
mind you i asked just for opinions...

anyways...
back to my spelling...

well i knw must of thisalready...but ive seen alot of gsl rear break because of the use of good tires
i havnt hurd much bout the 5 letter rear end blowing out
i knew about the frnt convrsion but i didnt knw re made the rear also
but the reason why i wanted a stronger diff was because i wanna go turbo later
i also was told dat a kia sportage diff is good

umm...oh did u guys hear about re's rack and pinion set up for 1st gens
that shyt is bad ***
i wnt to do it but i got a lil confused...the kit has to b bought seperately which i think is dumb...oh wich ratio is better? 15.1 or 20.1?
right now my bushing in da frnt r real bad ima buy that idler arm from mazdatrix
cus all my bushings in the frnt r gone...i even had to makemy own bshings using the rubber rom motor mounts...i dnt wanna buy new ones for da stock suspension cus i feel its pointless, since ima buy the suspenion kit for it...and the rack and pinion kit
...i love the stress from workin on cars...lol

Major mistake to **** on Trochoid man. He is one of the most respected members we've got here, and always willing to help people out with their questions and problems. Good luck with your future on this forum...

^ +2. Trochoid really isn't the person you want to snubbing your nose at, nor calling an a-hole to boot.

Like any of us can read minds to know that your laptop is busted? You did bring it on yourself. We've gotten a lot of newbies here who spelled just as bad and we scolded them on that.

Good luck with your staying power on the Forum. Or, should it be spelt "gud lck wt ur styg pwer @ da frm."

PWN!

Just put a little thought and care into your posts, that's all we ask. We don't care if you have perfect spelling or grammar, but it needs to be readable and look like you at least tried. Search all you can, and then ask specific questions that said research hasn't answered rather than broad "wut do i have to do?" sorts of things. We're not going to hold your hand through everything.

Well jr. newb, name calling is against forum rules, perhaps you should read them. Had you said your keyboarb was malfunctioning, I might have taken that into consideration, but I think the malfunction is elsewhere.

Have fun on the forum.

I am a forum lurker and have been here reading almost everyday for at least a year and a half. I seem to need 6 more posts to be able to view links and attachments so I guess this is as good a post to reply to as any. Statique, I guess you didn't notice Trochoid's post count before you called him an a-hole. I don't know the gentleman personally but he is quite knowledgeable in the area of rotary engines and the RX-7. He spends alot of time here and freely shares his experience with those of us that may need it. He has over 1000 times your post count so if I were you, I would show him a little respect. This forum is a tightly knit community and we do not take kindly to undeserved attacks on respected members. just my 2 cents...END RANT

Its the respeed kit, the black tube is the stock strut housing that the front strut drops into and for GC coilovers you need to cut off the stock spring perch. thats the respeed big brake kit, turboII calipers and hub, and EBC rotors....
