WTF is normal compression?

I just finished the 2nd round of ATF treatment. no noticeable difference.... I checked my commpression right after it was all burnt out and new plugs were in. no coil wires hooked up, 1 hole at a time ( other 3 with plugs in em) and for each im only getting 80 psi. thats nothin, im used to 150psi in my dirt bike. And its running like poop, about 120 kmh in the 1/4. (roughly stock car) thanx

It's hard to say, I've seen it all over the map.
According to Mazda it will vary depending on RPM too.
There is a chart with the factory tester for compression vs. RPM to find spec.

mine's slow as hell to, so don't get to p'd. the faster your engine spins, the more the centrifical force pulls the seals against the walls. this will of course cause them to seal better and therefore raise your compression.

I hav'nt been to the 1/4 yet in this one, but it feels a bit faster than the previous, very similar mods, but this motor is a bit younger and better taken care of.
my previous GSL-SE ran a best of 14.942 @ 92.61MPH at 2440lbs no driver,on a 3 year old clutch.
My current put down 131.6 RWHP and 117.2 RWT and hope to have it to the track soon.

a couple of things:
1. Did you have the throttle open when you did the test?
2. Did you use hold the pin down on the compression tester while you did the test. I only see one value = 80 psi. You should have six. One for each face of the rotors.
3. 80 psi is fine if it is on all faces of the rotors.
