yeah. theres a section about this in the FAQ i believe, basically you need to remove the stalk, take it apart and spray it with electrical lubricant.

Mine was so badly corroded/carbonized inside, I had to take it appart and clean all the contacts with light sandpaper. Was a good, free project for a Saturday afternoon.

Grab a can of electrical cleaner (Autozone has it) and hose the switch down while working it through all of the positions. After a few minutes of this, things should be good again.

Could be related to either timing, or a carb issue. After you park while the motor is hot, remove the air cover and see if there is any sign of fuel running into the carb. Check again after 15 minutes or so. If fuel is running into the carb, then you have a problem with either the solenoid that is supposed to control that, or the charcoal cannister system.

Also check your battery, unless you know it's new. I had this same problem when I first got mine. Fired fine when cold but needed a boost or a pop start when warm. A new battery solved that problem quick.

The headlight fix works great. Just did it last year and was thrilled about finally being able to use my high beams. The severely dim light and one working high beam probably means the dim light is burned out. They are about $20 each to replace, so just grab two new ones after you clean the switch.

Or, the dim light could be due to a bad ground.
