Nope. We're all FUBAR and it's just the way it is. You've got to use keywords that only 7 enthusiasts would use, like SA, FB, FC (FC3S if you're looking for JDM) and stuff. If you're looking for OEM parts, though, it's mostly just beaters that are on ebay and they're not enthusiasts, so you just gotta wade through all the crap.

Mmm, ebay spam.

Same thing happens on Peer-to-Peer file-systems for pretty much any non-music media.

Heck, even the music industry is spamming stuff like that.

Idiots on the internet, not realizing that just drawing people in to look isn't enough to sell anything... its a bad trend.

Kinda like e-mail spammers...

A lot of times sellers will tag their auctions with terms that don't really apply to the item just to get more hits.
Just identify a term common to those items and add that term to the "exclude" list. That'll cut down on the false hits.
For example: If I'm looking for Hella H4 lights, but don't want to wade through gobs of those stupid blue tinted bulbs, I add "-HID" to my excludes as they all have that term in their descriptions.

good ideas...i find it so frustrating having to wade through all that crap...there are books now about how to make money on E-bay and i think thats a tip...but really...wasnt it nice when you put in what you wanted and it popped up simple as pie...

is there a selling forum here? if there aint we should set up a first gen selling site...put your first gen parts for sale up...no bull **** to wade through...just first gen parts as far as the eye can see...

Misleading titles on ebay are prohibited.

If you encounter any, report them and the auction can be ended.

I try to limit the amount of spam and non related items that I view in ebay. I generally search 12a then click on ebay motor items only. also search 85 RX7, 85 RX 7, 1st RX7, and if Im really bored I type in Rotary and enjoy all types of fun. once again ebay motors only. that way I dont end up looking at 500 telephones from years past.
