WoW i figured it out!!
my car has been running at about 230 degrees F. now i know thats not normal, so today i went and bought a 180F thermostat, some mopar system flush from a dodge dealer, new coolant and went away, so now i took it to my "testing road" (i know we all have one) and my car wont go above 180F at all and i was pushing it so hard... hitting 100mph at times... im so impressed

im not worided about my coolant temps @ 100mph. im busy fighting my wonder steering!.. but at that speed, the amount of air going threw the radiator could mask your problem.
turn the a/c on. and drive in stop and go traffic for about an hour on a 100 degree day. my temps get up to 195 - 200 in that condition. but alls it takes is a quick 2 minute @ 70mph to get the temps back down to 175-180.
maybe you had the wrong kind of thermostat installed.

accually for that kind of stuff i would go with the royal purple synthetic stuff... that is awsome!! also carlrx7 i dont have ac... so in hot and humid weather when my car starts to get hot... guess what i have to do? yup i have to turn the heat on full blast and sweat my nuts off... but its all good.. less clothes is better
