Ok I'm at my wits end. I can't afford to drive this car anymore. I get like two miles a gallon....pulled over every two seconds. WHY! cause I drive a sports car with a lot of goodies on it. stupid roll bar.......exhaust.....street port.....I can't take it anymore. I need a car I can drive to work in without "knowing" when I'm getting pulled. I'm literally scared to drive this car around town...well can't now. Lisence got suspended until I go to court I'm not explaining what it's over. Stupid POLK COUNTY FLORIDA! I HATE IT HERE! Someone please tell me what I'm doing wasting my time and money here. Plus gas keeps going up. $2.69? Yesterday it was $2.63 WTF! Why? Cause oil companies aren't stupid. THEY KNOW WE NEED GAS TO LIVE EVERYDAY. NO MATTER WHAT THE PRICE WE WILL ALWAYS PAY FOR IT. It's not some stupid war or any crap like that. It's just people going ok lets be greedy. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE STRUGGLING ONES! I can't drive anymore.....I can't do anything just cause of gas prices and thats it. I'm sick of all of this. I'm tired of getting pulled over. And no I'm not driving like a bat out of hell cause gas cost too much to do that! I can't go out and have a spirited drive anymore cause gas just cost too much......someone tell me why americans and the whole world not buy gas for one day I guarentee you they will go oh **** and lower prices. they only want money and thats it.

i wouldnt sudgest selling your car or anything, but if you did id definately be interested an dim sure itd go quick. i know what you mean, im struggling also, bad. and i just lost my license from when me and my friend both got busted drifting one night. luckily i only loose them every weekend for 6 weeks and i get them back in time for NOPI. i cant even drive my 7 right now because its down and i miss driving it so much, it helped me get unstressed and its such a joy to be behind the wheel of an Fb or SA. just get your hands on a very cheap beater like i did. i got a 94 accord 4 door as a daily driver now. i got it for way under value but it also has lots of annoying *** problems. just take some time and mellow out, it will all get better soon. plus gas prices are supposed to drop after labor day, and if not, im down for starting a top secret group to take the oil companies down its me and you man!! haha jk stick in there.

ps- i wouldnt give up rotaries for ANYTHING. i get ragged on and trash talked so much cause all there are around me are vtec bitches. i dont care, rotaries are where my heart is and will always be. me and some friends were talking the other day and they asked me sex or rotaries, couldnt answer that one

 

what about rerouting our exhaust back into the engine so with such a rich mixture we'd save gas? or how about an electric motor on the engine so at certain speeds it kicks on to save gas

 

i wonder if rotary's like alcohol?, that'd be kinda cool

I haven't gotten a muffler ticket brah. It's EVERYTHING ELSE. I'm probably gonna put something else on it though. I've ran this muffler......well this style for a year now and now I'm getting pulled over. They don't care about the muffler until I put the silencers in thats when I started to get pulled over.

 

haha I can relate to the gas milage right now my car gets 150km to 45 bucks (CDN) of gas...

Anyways don't give up, you have to maybe take a break from your car and think about it. They are really cool cars and even though they can be incrediably unpractical as a daily driver...

 

It's a matter of timeing, like a lot of things, when to speed or not.
I had a bad driving record when I was young,(don't care to elaborate) now I've had the safe driver endorsement on my lisence for some time.
Got nailed on a speeding ticket a few weeks ago, on the way to work, was not even close to being late , wanted to pass some dump trucks enroute.
Paid the "Ticket Clinic" twice the cost of the ticket for no conviction.
Just need to choose wisely when to WOT. The less you do it, the better the MPG, and TPM,(tickets per mile).

Usually the first thing that cops notice is a:speeding, or b: exhaust. If your doing either one of these then of course your gonna get pulled over. Cops don't give two cents what kind of car your driving unless it looks unsafe or as mentioned above.

 

If you hate getting pulled over I reccomend getting a commuter car. Oh, you could also tint the windows so they can't see your roll bar

 

Get a motorcycle. That way, whether or not you stop for the cops is optional.

^^ ha agreed that is funny...but radios are pretty quick. Not to mention have you seen a guy with road rash? I saw a guy that went down at 125 while being chased by the cops...He lived but to say the least he did not have any skin left on his legs...it wore through his jeans. I will take a ticket anyday over no skin on my legs and a ticket!

 

yea I was looking at a Mazda Millenia...pretty nice v6 190 not too shaby. And not much to do to it either which is good I'm getting too agrivated messin with cars........well maybe an intake but thats it.

If you get pulled over by a cop here, they don't pop your hood, they don't test your exhaust, they don't measure your headlight height; they write your ticket for speeding and say, "Now, slow it down and have a nice day."

Dude I live in Florida. you know the place old people go before heaven. No Emissions laws here man. But they are "thanks to Jeb Bush" ******....they are pulling over cars with exhaust and stuff. I HATE JEB BUSH! But anywho....what can you do when you have idiots in the White house and idiots in governement over your state.

Oh I'm not selling the mazda, just spent a nice chunk of money on that car I don't think so. JDM 13B 4-port and an engine rebuild cost an arm leg and your soul.

 

Im in New Port Richey man, I drive through your town everyday, believe me I understand, Thankfully I know where the cops are and am slowed wayyyyyy down before I get there. Keep fighting the fight man, tickets come and go, rotaries are forever.
