wont start...more to it PLEASE HELP
Ok so i bought my first car (1984 rx7 12a, has headers, newer trans, after market stereo... it was hella fun! I thought it was reliable and one time in just stalled out, power wasn't low or ne thing, wouldn't turn over... i waited, tried it a couple times and like 5mins later it turned over and started...on my race home, it stalled 2 more times, the last it wouldn't start again.
so i checked out my starter, wiring, ended up replacing one coil cuz the ovious corrosion where the plug goes. didn't start right away but i think on the second time it did...then i could hear this noise in the engine...didn't sound normal, well i ended up pulling the engine myself, i've got expirience with carb. piston engines but once i got inside the rotory i gave up afer i couldn't get the first rotor off,
but the outter housing had a spot that wasn't smooth like the rest, extra wear? maybe heat? How does the 12a stand up too heat?!? VERY IMPORTANT cuz the used engine i bought and installed twisted the belt, on the free way, my heat gauge wasn't hooked up... but i running on 8volts...and it wasn't right, not responsive backfiring more then usual... but i got to work, straightened it best i could and got it runing, but when i drove home it happened again pretty quick, drove it 60 or 70 for like 15 20 mins... i know it got hot...it couldn't have been turningthe water pump efficiently if at all.
So, i thought alright whatever, hopefully it'd just be the belt right... so i replaced it and got the battery full power plus and it would turn over but won't start, the fuel pump is working and its goin go the holley carb, so electrical... the top coil has power...?
This car is such a ...pain lol just want it to be reliable...i could've drove it easier, but hey i haven't got one ticket in it... i've put alot of effort, money and time into it... its nice, headers too... im prayin that its alright... if not, im done, sell it for whatever i can... please help.

Just repost what's wrong with a better summary man. Not picking on ya.
It's 24 years old and needs TLC and patience...
And as a stock car they handle heat just fine. It was one of Motor Trends top
10 vehicles in early 80's.
