Wiring problem: how best to proceed
I have been putting my 84 GSL, that has been setting for a few years, back together over the last few months. Last weekend I was trouble shooting a problem with the fuel pump. It turns out that it was not getting power so I started pulling out the interior to look for the problem in the wiring.
I found this:
Should I fix this harness or try to find one in better condition?

IIRC the REAR harness, which is what you are showing, is a separate one to the MAIN, and hooks up near the dash. If so, then the easiest thing would be a swap... unless it got cooked by a problem off the main harness, in which case you have more trouble than you know

Thanks for the response! I'll start looking for another one. I have a feeling I will spend a good bit of time trying to figure out what happened to begin with though.

I have run into a problem. To me, it does not look like there is a connector that connects the rear harness to the main harness. Am I missing something? Here is what i see.
And of course I found more damage further up the harness.
