This is a problem that is not causing me any great concern right now (it has been like this for a few months) But, i would still like to fix it.
When i bought my car in February, the alarm lights worked just fine. (the side marker lights that come on when you turn on/off the alarm)
Also my hazards worked just fine.
But the stereo wiring was hacked to ****, from the aftermarket stereo that was in the car when i bought it. I since bought a better stereo, and while installing it, i accidently touched the power and ground together while testing to see if the stereo worked.
Well, of course, i blew the fuse. I figured "no biggie, i'll just put a new one in"
I put in the fuse, the stereo worked fine.
But, for some reason the alarm lights no longer work
Then a month or so ago, i had to unhook my stereo due to worrying about it being stolen. (had to park my car in a really bad neighborhood for a few days)
Later when i hook it back up again, using all the same wires as last time, my hazard lights no longer work, and my clock always starts back at 12:00 everytime i start the car?????????
If anyone knows how to solve the "mystery wiring problem" your input would be greatly appricated!
Thanks!
Peace
Vince

The "hazard" fuse also supplies the backup for the clock and goes to the stereo. It is also the supply for the interior lights. If they don't work, it's definitely the fuse. If the interior lights work, you'll have to trace the wiring from that fuse.
