hood latch broke and hood is down, and the carb is taken apart inside!!!! need help!!

hood latch broke and hood is down, and the carb is taken apart inside!!!! need help!!

is there any way to get the hood open, i was putting on a new accelerator pump yesterday and it got to dark to work on it, so i closed the hood and left it for today, but when i tried to open the hood, the ******* latch is broken. i need to get into that ******* engine, so please someone tell me how to get that mother open!!

Ok, as far as I know, you can't get to the latch without f***ing up your hood. Here's something to try. The front hinges for the hood are accessible. Take off you front air fins under the bumper. If you look at both sides of were the hood hinges bolt on, you'll see two bolts running vertical facing the front of the car. If you remove these, you have released the lower section of the hinge and the front of the hood will go up. No I don't know if you can lift it up enough to release the hinge, but you can try.

alright, thanks, i did a search and people said that all you have to do is jack the car and use a long screw driver and you can get it, but i can not see the latch at all. i do not really know where it is, i know its in the middle of the hood but i just can not get at it.

alright, i got it all done, i just jacked it up and reached like hell and got the latch undone, it wasnt that hard at all thank god. and i fixed my 3rd gear problem it was just the a/p now the car is running like a dream. and for any admins im sorry for not searching for this first i was just kinda freaking out cuz i didnt know what the hell i was going to do.

You always got a choice tho, i had this happen before and I knew what to do but if worse comes to worse Im not above using tin snips
