Question wires on rad

I am about to get my RX-7 back on the road after 7 years of very poor storage.
I purchased it like a book shelf from Ikea (some assemblie required) and I am confused about the connector on the bottom of the radiator, what does it do, besides drag on the ground.
I have to replace the rad and just want to know haew important this is.

really low coolant light

just connect another low coolant light to that lead and it will let you know when you are completely out of coolant. of course your engine would be seized at that point.

I thought of that but that would be something Honda would do.
I'm thinking that I may have a rad out of an automatic and it could be a oil temp sender or something.
I am getting a new rad tomorrow anyway so it may not matter.

Thought on and -SE the upper sensor is for low coolant, the lower is a temp sensor.

Double-checked the Haynes manual it shows the lower sensor a Coolant Temperature Switch; the upper is a Coolant Level Sensor

1) The Coolant level sensor on the top of the rad simply turns on the "add coolant" light on the dash.

2) But what does the coolant switch do? Does it send a signal to the control box that your car is warmed up?

3) Then on the -SE there is another water temp sensor on the water pump.

4) And the Water temp gage sensor on the block near the oil Presure sender, sends temp signal to the water temp gauge.

5) Air Temp sensor - on the intake.
6) exhaust gas temp sensor behind the Cat.
7) How warm my a$$ it is sensor?

did I get them all???

Oh yeah, hey vic, my rad had those same wires draging on the ground. I got a new rad, and I think they're still draggin'. I had them hooked up before, and I don't think there was any difference. They're unhooked now, and there's no problems with cooling or anything.
