Wipers going insane! Whats Wrong?!

Ok first off, yesterday was another beautiful day in california, nice and sunny. So this morning I get into the 7 and start it up, went just as it does every day...but today the windshield wipers came on...I figured that I had just bumped the wiper control lever, but nope, it was in the off postion, and they just kept going and going and going! I tried turning them on and then turning them off, but they just went faster and then back to the slow speed again. I finally just said f*** it and pulled the fuse for the wipers. Anyone have an idea of what might be doing this?! Its not that big a deal, but its annoying as hell. I might just cut into the car and do a full resto

Wipper switch or relay.... and what do you need wipers in SOUTHERN Cali anyway?!!! I mean...those of us here in the southeast...we see all 4 seasons in a week!....Now we might need them....

For you...Id say...take out the wiper switch....take out the motor...and the wires going to it..... Think of it as a "diet" for your car.... lol....lol....

Sorry.... I have bronchititus....so I am on good drugs!

But in all seriousness....sounds like your switch or the relay....

I dunno, I just got lazy and pulled the fuse. Too busy right now pulling the engine and repairing the body and repainting it.

sorry to say but there is no cure to the above problems. I highly recommend to just junk it before its too late. I have a free towing service if interested.
